beginnings . . .

How do I start this blog, really, how do I?  Where could I possibly start when we are well in to the process?  How far back do I go, what type of details do I share, what is it that I should write?  I guess the best place to start is  . . .
In the beginning God . . .
That's right, it all starts with God and His creative power, in short He is the beginning for all of us; even if you do not believe in God.  So, with that said I want to pause and give praise to Him, and you should too.  To no surprise we (my family) are seeking to be obedient to the call of James 1:27 Don't get me wrong we are not after some brownie points before God, we believe God has gifted us with the ability to carry out the admonition in James. In fact before we were married, before I realized my salvation, we had talked about adoption, so God had planted that seed many years ago and through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit that seed is starting to grow.

Although there is an element of privacy we want to maintain, but because I have started this blog I think that element is gone. However, this blog will be mostly about us, us being my wife and I, and how we are dealing with the process from a Christian perspective. I will not dwell on stories, cute anecdotes and trivial details. Honestly, writing is cathartic for me, so when things get difficult, and they will, you will most likely see a post.

Finally I will try to end each post with a prayer request that is specific to the current situation.

Please pray for us in the area of paper work and item acquisition, we have MANY questions to answer a good amount of paperwork to complete, things to fix and buy, ammo boxes and trigger locks to buy, fire inspections to schedule, physicals to get . . . and the list is loooooooooooong, God is good.
